Relating and attitude

Somehow all people are related to the Divine Creator, even when they do not want to be related to Him. All human beings are namely created in the image of the Divine Creator.

Genesis 1:26-28 (SLT)
26 And God will say, We will make man in our image according to our likeness, and they shall rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and every creeping thing creeping upon the earth. 27 And God will form man in his image, in the image of God he formed him; male and female he formed them. 28 And God will praise them, and God will say to them, be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over every living thing creeping upon the earth.

This could mean that God Himself has a form and body, but further in the Bible, God’s infallible Word we are told that God is a Spirit Who cannot be seen by man.

John 4:24  (SLT)
God a Spirit: and they worshipping him must worship in spirit and truth.

Exodus 33:20  (SLT)
And he will say, Thou shalt not be able to see my face: for none shall see my face, and live.

When not able to see somebody it seems very unlikely we can relate to him properly.

As a person you have to come to know yourself better. By exploring your own being you will come to find things you do not understand. You yourself may be unclear for yourself. But when time passes you shall come to know yourself better. If you have not done the work of understanding yourself emotionally and sexually, you will have difficulties to make good contacts with others and shall have uncertainties concerning your relation with That What brought you into being.

To come to understand That What made you, you first have to come to understand (a little bit) yourself.

When wanting to relate to something or someone else you have to be prepared to allow the other to have contact with you or to look at it with a sort of understanding. Some think it would be an unrealistic hope that someone else will know how to understand you and make you happy — even when you, yourself, may not know. Though we may not forget that the Most High Divine Creator is everywhere and knows every heart.

1 Samuel 16:7 (SLT)
7 And Jehovah will say to Samuel, Thou shalt not look upon his aspect or upon the height of his stature; for I rejected him: for not what man will see, for man will see with the eyes, and Jehovah will see at the heart.

It is not easy to see into the eyes of another person, but it is even more difficult to see in the heart of the one opposite us. To come directly communicating to your partner about your emotions and your sexual side is important to have a good intimate relation. When you are hoping others will intuitively perceive who you are emotionally and what you need sexually you are living in a fantasy. You have to make a conscious effort to become aware of your ongoing emotional reactions to the people and events in your life.

In your life, which shall consist of falling and getting back up, you always shall have to look at things and have to observe and label your emotional reactions. Reflection on your feelings shall be a necessity. Also not bad is to talk with others about how you feel or what you are noticing about yourself, without expecting them to put you back together again.

Wanting to relate to your heavenly Creator requires you opening up to Him, but also daring to speak about Him and your relation with Him to others.

To have a good communication and relationship with God you shall have to work at a sincere intimacy.

One form of intimacy is cognitive or intellectual intimacy where two people exchange thoughts, share ideas and enjoy similarities and differences between their opinions. If they can do this in an open and comfortable way, they can become quite intimate in an intellectual area. As such a good relationship requires that opening of your mind to the other, telling everything that is on your tongue and heart.

Intimacy being a process – not a thing, it shall take place over time and shall not be stagnant. In fact, any kind of stagnation in a relationship kills intimacy.

Intimacy, you will see, is better than sex and it’s more than just love. It’s a feeling, a closeness.

Many people love to connect with others in this world. Social media is very popular at the moment. On it, though many do not see clearly what are real friends. Many ‘friends‘ being added to those social media are often even unknown people. The phenomena clearly show in these days of materialism, the urge of people to have human contact and exchange of ideas. Throughout history, people always have tried to connect with each other but often do forget the Most Important One Who is also trying to have a good connection with us.

The Supreme Maker wants us also to connect with Him.

This site is wanting to have you see and find the possibilities to connect with that Divine Most High Almighty Being who is the Creator, Source, Establisher and Eternal Power of everything Who is looking forward to having an excellent relationship with His creatures, us living created imperfect human beings who are looking forward or even craving for a better peaceful world , which He shall provide.

Some think

Too much intimacy can be painful.

Joyce Kovelman, a psychotherapist quoted on the www.cupidnet.com Web site, says few people can be intimate and honest for more than a few moments at a time.*

“The more invested in a relationship, the harder it is to be honest,” she writes. “The risk seems greater. Each of us [is] so used to being told ‘don’t,’ ‘shouldn’t,’ ‘mustn’t’ and ‘can’t,’ and how we’re supposed to be. It’s no wonder that we hesitate to reveal our innermost ideas and needs.”

The religious world has caught onto this felt need, with vocalists such as rock star Carmen Licciardello promising fans that his music ushers one into

“an exciting and intimate experience with our Creator.”

God is portrayed as the one safe place for intimacy in recent releases such as “Intimate Bride: Gentle Worship for Soaking in God’s Presence” from the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship.* Vineyard Music Group, a California-based company, had released a CD titled “Intimacy” in 2008.

“Intimacy is critical to relationship with God,”

says VMG General Manager Alex MacDougall.*

“We don’t sing about God. We sing to God.

Very long ago those who loved God used singing also to praise God.  Even kings were not afraid to extol a King above all kings, highly praising the One Who was responsible for everything they got. Today we do not hear much singing to God.

“I think we’re all pretty disconnected,”

Alex MacDougall said.*

“If a Christian has intimacy with God, it’s a way of feeling connected. Most of the time, relationships with other people are devalued. People are selfish. They have no time.

“There’s a difference between lovemaking and sex. There’s a difference between a relationship with God and a belief system. People want to experience a deeper level of love for God. The response is a flooding of peace in your heart and in your mind. That is one of the key payoffs here,”

Mr. MacDougall said.*

Intimacy should be sought even in the working world,

says Brian R. Smith, author of “Beyond the Magic Circle: The Role of Intimacy in Business.”*

He writes,

“Choose your own work and your own feelings about it. Create a reality where your work serves as a vital extension of your celebration of your most intimate acts, thoughts and emotions. . . . See yourself and what you do as the result of intimate meaningful choices right now.”

“Then and only then will you experience the intimate, quality reality available far above and beyond that offered by even the most exalted magic circles currently in vogue in American business,”

he says.*

Too many people forget that divine or the word “godlymeans pious, devout and as such we can find several people in the past, like Angels, Moses, Samuel, Daniel, David, Jesus who were called “godly” and were for many “gods“, being “higher placed” persons, but were not the Most High God of gods.

About relating to God the Wiktionary gives both “of or pertaining to a god” and “devoted to a god”. In our instance, we shall be looking to the relationship we want to make to gods. We also shall look at the most important relationship in our life, the intimate position with the Most High divine Creator of heaven and earth.

We shall be looking at a “a series of theophanies” or visits from a god or God. showing you that there are many gods in this world but that humankind should honour only the Most Highest of them all.

Wanting to relate to the god which many use his title as his name and say “God” (with a capital) a coming into a relationship requires to know and use the Name of that person or Being, Who in this instance has no beginning and no end.

First, you may start by trying to show your good side in society, doing good. But relating to God is not just about you slipping some good-works into God’s hand, so He can, in turn, give you a Disney-like, spiritual adventure.**

Some Christians think

The alternative to relating to God through your self-effort is relating to Him through Christ’s effort.  Jesus expended a lot of effort for you and me.  The night before His crucifixion, under intense pressure knowing He would soon be cut off from God, Jesus began to sweat blood.  But that was nothing compared to the torture of actually shedding blood on the cross.  No small sacrifice indeed.**

With that Nazarene master teacher we are given a beautiful example of a very intimate relationship with God. He was so close to the God of gods, his heavenly Father, that even in the very very difficult times for him he still wanted to do God His will instead of his own will.

Luke 22:39-44 (SLT)
39 And having come out, he went, according to custom, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples followed him. 40 And being at the place, he said to them, Pray ye not to enter into temptation. 41 And he was removed from them about a stone’s cast, and having placed the knees, he prayed, 42 Saying, Father, If thou art willing, turn aside this cup from me: but not my will, but thine, be done. 43 And a messenger was seen to him from heaven, strengthening him. 44 And being in a violent struggle, he prayed more intently: and his sweat was as clots of blood coming down upon the earth.

Those who are taking the god Jesus as The God, do seem to forget that in case Jesus would be God, he always would have done his own Will and then he also had not to fear man nor death, because they can do God nothing. As Jesus was one with his heavenly Father he also asked of his followers to be one with him, like he was one with his Father. That oneness shall not make us into becoming a god nor becoming The God, though some might love that, or play already for god or God.

1 Corinthians 1:30  (SLT)
And ye are of him in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and also justice, and consecration, and holiness:

says Paul to the community of believers living in Corinth.

To come to a good relationship we do need an understanding of ourselves and of the other, plus wisdom to analyse the facts and to order our ideas.

Those who want you to believe that Jesus didn’t come to this earth so you could imitate him, are mistaken. The Messianic writings indicate we just do have to come like him. To say Jesus isn’t looking for you to be like him, is also wrong. Because our eyes not only have to focus on him. He is the best way to be looking to God. Jesus is the gateway to come to the best understanding with God. He is not only the cornerstone of God‘s City or God‘s Community, he is also the mediator between God and man and the high-priest of the Most High God.

Just looking to him to do all the spiritual work that you cannot do, is also not the right solution. Jesus clearly asks us to do many things. We should listen more to his words and fulfil the tasks Jesus gave his followers. By doing that you can build up your relationship with the Body of Christ and with Jesus his heavenly Father, the Only One True God.

When we listen to what Jesus preaches we can come to the understanding that it all comes down to having the right attitude. Living in this world we do have to take a certain stance, not being of this world but having a willingness to become of God’s World. The parables of Jesus show us how people have to make a certain choice and have to take on the right attitude to become accepted by God.

Jesus may bring you joy, peace, and happiness through both the good and not-so-great parts of life. He prepared the path to God, but in the end, it shall have to be you who have to choose and find the right path to go through the narrow gate to enter the Kingdom of God.
